When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

Please keep in mind that any echo must be triggered by experiencing something for the first time (unless it is a plot echo) and that recurrence echoes may not be gained off-screen: At least the initial trigger must take place in a thread or toplevel. In addition, we always want to hear the answer to three questions: 1. What was echoed? (under "What is returned?"), 2. What triggered the echo? (under "Reason for Echo"), and in case of recurrence echoes 3. Why did it trigger the echo (parallel)? (under "What is returned?").

Yes, this is just the observational ability. So he will find himself noticing things like the placement of calluses on people's hands or when he walks into a room and something is out of place. But he won't always know how to interpret that. He willbe able to interpret it some of the time, just because of the knowledge hes picked up in this life. But he will likely need to research what the things he's noticed mean a lot of the time.

Memory: first understanding/seeing the points and lines in webspace, as well as recognizing [Webmind's] innate ability to make its own links.

Ability: Walter himself can now view webspace, and make those links, effectively connecting to them telepathically. (Not sure whether it makes more sense to have it be a permanent state/render him otherwise blind...)

Upon further consideration, I will rule that the physical change and the hearing ability will require two echoes or one DET. So she's only approved for the physical change and the hearing. (Or, if you'd prefer that, one of the two and the scenting.)

I'll try to explain. When she echoed the eyes and the eysight in combination, that was already being very lenient with the guidelines for what can count as one echo. The physical change that makes the ears move is bigger than the change of the eyes, and it's also less directly connected with the improved hearing. So where I could still in good conscience be lenient with the eyes, I can't really with the ears.

I hope that isn't too much of a problem, but yeah, please decide: Only ears and hearing, or only ears and scenting, or only scenting and hearing?

He's only able to access views of the real world through webcameras (and Caitlin's implant), so the visual shift would likely be permanent.

Considering that I'm not doing the 'actually becomes a digital entity' shift yet, though, I wasn't entirely sure where to draw the line. Sensing the points are there without the visuals?

What is returned: A general sense of detachment from human morality; they remember that humans have certain morals and rules but don't really understand why anymore. They will also become more temperamental than before, small petty things being more likely to make them angry but also just as likely to forget it about ten seconds after it happened.

An option that I could see would him at this point needing a close proximity to the source of the "webspace" for his "telepathic" way of sensing his surroundings to kick in - so if he stands directly next to a wifi, he'll be fully in "webspace" mode and have lost his other senses, but as soon as he removes himself a bit, he's fully back in his normal senses and can't do telepathic web stuff any more.

Maybe that would work?

What is returned:
Ability: Rain/water creation magic. Nel will gain the ability to shed pure water from her hair (and later her cloak). With practice, she will learn to control the rate up to a near stream or down to a mist. Due to the fact that the water is one single molecule repeatedly produced with no organization and is not living (nor does it have magical plant growing properties YET), Nel can produce a large amount without fatiguing her magical stores. The amount she can make will increase as her magic pool does, and to begin, she can fill a small pond’s worth.
Physical Change: Water hair. When accessing her water magic voluntarily, her hair shifts to a blue ethereal substance surrounded by a layer of water that drips. Additionally, if she does not actively resist it, her hair will change reflexively upon Nel becoming wet. This includes anything that coats the majority of her skin and hair surface area with water (60% or more).

The hair change feels like it is two changes - in reaction to using magic, and in reaction to touching water. Would you be all right with splitting those two reactions to different triggers up into two echoes? (She could gain the reaction to magic trigger when using water magic for the first time, so it would not be hard to gain it from a separate echo.)

What is returned: His Raksuran sense of hearing, which will be loads of fun, along with the memory of traveling across a grassy plain with a younger "dragon-person" (who is much, much smaller than he is, and named Moon). They've paused by a pool to bathe, fish, and rest. Stone (Sam) hears a predator approach, and then hurry away again when (he assumes) it smells him.
