This Earth is, as far as anyone could tell you, exactly the same as the Earth we know. Same year, same place, same everything - the existence of a sizeable seaside town in England and her surroundings aside. What they could not tell you is that Earth itself is alive and sentient, a cosmic entity that asserts only very loose control over those living on her crust. But she is powerful beyond belief, and that is why, when many years into the ancient past of the multiverse, a terrible danger threatened to destroy all possible realities, she had the power to withstand. And withstand she did, and not only that: She dove into the shambles of destroyed worlds and realities to rescue what shards she could find there, gathering from all times and places, and storing them in her belly until such a time in which she would be threatened. Because the danger would return, perhaps not today, perhaps not tomorrow, but one day in the far flung future. And it knew her. But it could not know what shards she had gathered, and Earth counted on the element of surprise and unpredictability for her future defences. She still counts on it. For the time when, one day, the Enemy should return. For now, she sleeps, and so do all her defences. But at times, they stir. At times, danger draws close and they are called upon. At times, shards are implanted into forming life. And at times, they activate, and everyday people who hitherto thought to be perfectly ordinary humans start to learn that this is not their first life, and that they cannot continue to live on as if it was. Will they cope? Will they prosper? And will they be ready to step up to the task and save their Earth? Save Our Earth is a plot-driven and player-choice dependent game. Its genre falls between mem-loss and AU: All characters start out as complete AU-versions of their characters when they enter the game, yet as time proceeds they receive more and more parts of their OU-versions: Memories, physical features, personality traits, abilities, items and whatever else applies. This happens because characters are reincarnated into our modern world after the timelines of their canons have ended. |
