When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

Please keep in mind that any echo must be triggered by experiencing something for the first time (unless it is a plot echo) and that recurrence echoes may not be gained off-screen: At least the initial trigger must take place in a thread or toplevel. In addition, we always want to hear the answer to three questions: 1. What was echoed? (under "What is returned?"), 2. What triggered the echo? (under "Reason for Echo"), and in case of recurrence echoes 3. Why did it trigger the echo (parallel)? (under "What is returned?").

What is returned:
Memory: The memory of when Empress Undyne appointed Papyrus to be The Most Important Royal Position, a plainly made-up position with an impressive title and the responsibility to "stand around and look cute." Undyne hoped he would be impressed and flattered by the title, enough to not be hurt or insulted that she still didn't let him in the Royal Guard - even after drastically expanding it in preparation for war. He wasn't really flattered, but pretended otherwise to her.

Personality: The trait where he connects dots in somewhat odd ways, ignoring cause and effect and taking somewhat superficial details to extremes. Like pasting cardboard muscles to his arms and putting sunglasses on them - to make a cool selfie that'll convince someone to become friends with him. Or creating a lopsided cardboard sentry station to make a pun - instead of a professional-looking sation for the sake of getting promoted. Or making spaghetti that looks photogenic but tastes horrific - because if aged alcohol is better for spending time aging in an oaken cask, then so is pasta.

What is returned:
Memory: the "Information Gathered About the Detective Boys" case, in which Haibara told Conan it was too dangerous to show off his deductive reasoning while their first grade teacher was watching them, and that he needed to guide the police detectives to solve the case while acting more like a child. He did so, but was then scolded by the other kids for acting too childish in front of adults.

Ability: The deductive reasoning that he was warned not to show off in the memory. This will allow him to make connections between his observations. He still won't be at his canon deductive ability, because he is still missing much of the general knowledge base that will allow him to interpret his observations.

What is returned: One of the things that made Q'uila most happy was successfully mastering a class of magic. The item/ability? is the Red Mage ruby that Sadie received during Halloween is fully powered up with the memories of previous Red Mages to properly instruct Sadie on how to use Red Magic.

Ability: Nel will gain the ability to walk on the surface of water in liquid form. Still water will be easiest, but moving water will require her to try to balance as if she were walking on shifting ground. It does not require any particular concentration, but she has to want to be above the surface to walk (or below the surface to swim).
Physical Change: Her brown eyes turn gold in the iris.

Reason for Echo: For the first time a child hugged him while in human form.
What is returned: In RaW, a small child hugs Channing's trouserleg, to which he reacts kindly but also by putting some distance between the child and himself as quickly as possible, because having children that close to him causes him to have to relieve the trauma of losing his own child (and wife) to a murdersuicide.

Chad will, from now on, have the memory of their death flash in front of him whenever a child hugs him in his human form, with all the painful feelings attached to it that the trauma brings.

I meant that the water is in liquid form, as opposed to a gas or ice state of matter. I wanted to be clear on the limit where it applies.
