Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

Please keep in mind that any echo must be triggered by experiencing something for the first time (unless it is a plot echo) and that recurrence echoes may not be gained off-screen: At least the initial trigger must take place in a thread or toplevel. In addition, we always want to hear the answer to three questions: 1. What was echoed? (under "What is returned?"), 2. What triggered the echo? (under "Reason for Echo"), and in case of recurrence echoes 3. Why did it trigger the echo (parallel)? (under "What is returned?").

I've phrased this as "this is supposed to be the first time he wants to know things about someone without having to ask them," but the real issue at hand is the line of thinking, "Hey, if I hadn't been so willing to let this person's private life alone, I wouldn't be as upset or surprised by my (boy)friend's disappearance right now."

Boiling that down gets us "I can't ask this person everything about their life, what can I do/have done to have more information?"

Reason for Echo: The earthquake coupled with the smell of donuts and a grapefruit air freshener. Benjiro has experienced earthquakes before, however, not with those two scents present in conjunction. When Donatello experienced an earthquake, it was while using a grapefruit and donuts to model the planetary alignment occuring.
What is returned: The memory of episode titled ‘The Entity Below’ in which an eathquake and other disasters send the turtles back down deep underground to investiagte the necropolis only to be confronted by the city inhabitants now awakened and trying to raise Atlantis.

Reason for Echo: Plot Echo from Sadie impulsively deciding to poke the centre of the Mossgate Bubble with magic
What is returned: Memory - Q'uila's memory of talking directly to Hydaelyn, "Hear. Think. Feel" (0:00-1:12 here.
Ability - Sadie regains Q'uila's Echo ability which allows her to see memories/imprints of the past, protection from the tempering of Primals, and locate people she is close to, though she has no control of the former aspect of the power.

Could you give me some more detail on the memories/imprints of the past seeing?

Right now it feels to me like the ability echo is too big for one echo and the people location and memory/imprint seeing need to be two different echoes.

I am more than happy to cut the Echo power down to be doled out across multiple Echoes.

As for the memory part, basically during times of heightened emotion/something is rich in aether/plot convenience the person with the power will see a snippet of the past relating to that person/place/object that is normally related to current events/questions etc. Honestly it's kind of a Plot Device and noone is entirely sure exactly how it works.

Would she only be able to Echo view the past of someone's current incarnation or would she be able to see stuff of their Pre-incarnations?

As a rule, she would only be able to see the past of someone's current incarnation (obviously only with the player's prior consent). But if you ever want to do a player plot surrounding her having seen something about someone else's pre-incarnation, have you and the other players involved send me a group PP on plurk (to narwa, not the mod account) and we can talk about it.

Physical change/ability: Increased healing rate. Benjiro regains the mutant recovery that essentially reduces natural healing time. A broken bone mends in a few weeks rather than a couple months.
Item: Gauntlets. Dark Donatello’s pair of metallic gauntlets used to shield his forearms that each have the two buttons for remote control (not accesible at this time due to the nature of the future technology not pairing with any modern devices). The gauntlets are at their original size and far too large to be worn yet.

Those questions always make anxious that I have missed something important but no, they haven't. XD

No worries! I just doublecheck when the trigger experience is something that, in my estimation, could fairly easily have happened to the person before and they don't note that it's the first time somewhere. Not to doubt, necessarily, but to make sure that the "must be a first time" was remembered.

Reason for Echo: Tsunami Plot Echo, because Sadie is a teenager and didn't think of the consequences of punching the Plot with Magic.
What is returned: Sadie now has Miqo'te sense of smell, which isn't quite as strong as Sam's but still very sensitive.

She also gains Miqo'te hearing with all the fluffy ears that that entails.

Sadly, these would be three separate echoes, I think: Smell, hearing, and fluffy ears. She could get smell and hearing, or hearing and ears. Which would you prefer?

Ah, sorry, I thought the enhanced hearing would be a side effect of her ears changing in Miqo'te ears due to the change in physiology like with when her eyes changed and it naturally enhanced her sight.

What is returned:
Physical change: Increased size and stature. Over the next six months, Benjiro will gain in size from 181cm to 196cm height. This will happen in a gradual acceleration from a mere 0.64cm the first month to 5 cm in the final month. His skeletal proportions will become more extreme (wider chest and shoulders, longer body to head, thicker shoulder structure).
Physical change/ability: Increased muscle mass. Scaled in the same rate, Benjiro will gain visible amounts of muscle that have the same altered density and will elevate his strength further (and thus his jumping skills as well). He will peak at lifting 1,000 kg overhead by the end of the six months.

Wouldn't the functionality difference be inside her head instead of at the outside? Like, wouldn't the functionality rest in the inner ear, not the earlobe?
