Echo requests

Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

Please keep in mind that any echo must be triggered by experiencing something for the first time (unless it is a plot echo) and that recurrence echoes may not be gained off-screen: At least the initial trigger must take place in a thread or toplevel. In addition, we always want to hear the answer to three questions: 1. What was echoed? (under "What is returned?"), 2. What triggered the echo? (under "Reason for Echo"), and in case of recurrence echoes 3. Why did it trigger the echo (parallel)? (under "What is returned?").

Is this a memory Echo? If YES, it is approved by default. If NO, please wait for mod approval before playing it out.
Type of Echo: Physical change, power, ability, mental, memory, item or creature.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger, a person or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a can of baked beans from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
What is returned: What the Echo brought back. If the Echo is not a plot echo, please demonstrate clearly why trigger and echo content work as a canon reoccurence.

Is this a memory Echo? Yes AND no
Type of Echo: Memory + physical change

Reason for Echo: Plot echo! Comes from the new mingle, where they echo back something "safe".
What is returned: The memory of shifting up into winged form and basically bird-like mantling over members of his colony to protect them from Fell attack. He's strong and powerful and he keeps people safe. This comes with stronger bones so he can stop hurting himself on accident :D

Does it make Stone feel safe that he can keep other people safe? (The echo asks specifically for something that makes the character feel safe, not something that lets them make others feel safe.)

I couldn't think of a single thing in canon that makes him feel safe, because he's always portrayed as the protector. So this is the closest I can get, being strong enough himself to protect himself and others ^^'

Is there anything that he could regain that would make Sam feel safe?

That's why I double-echoed and tacked on the bit with the stronger bones of a Raksura of his age, for Sam's benefit. It just didn't seem like something he would notice right away, and thus the feeling of safety wasn't likely to be there immediately.

I can try and think of something else in the morning if this won't work. I might have to try and canon review.

It's fine if he doesn't notice immediately! The only stipulation was that the echo, if noticed, will make either the reincarnation or the preincarnation feel safer. Sorry for phrasing that unclearly.

So with your explanation, the stronger bones are approved!

If you wish to double echo, you may still do that, just try to find something that makes Sam or Stone themselves feel safe (or will make Sam feel safer once he notices).
