Echo Tokens and Double Echo Tokens
At the beginning of every month, threads can be turned in to be exchanged for Echo Tokens or Double Echo Tokens.
What is an Echo Token?
An Echo Token is what you need to request an Echo. Each Echo costs one ET.
ETs are gained by submitting activity on this post.
What is a Double Echo Token?
A DET is a mechanic that gives Echoes more potential. When requesting an Echo, players can state that they want to spend a DET on this echo. A DET replaces an ET. Spending a DET on an echo, recurrence or plot, means that one trigger will yield two echoes: An item and a memory, two memories, a physical and a mental trait, and so on.
DETs are gained by submitting activity on this post.
How do I gain an ET or DET?
You fill out the THREAD SUBMISSION FORM below. Any thread of at least five comments from your own character can be exchanged for a point. Any thread of at least five comments from your character with a character this character hasn't threaded with before gains two points.
Two points can be exchanged for one ET. Six points can be exchanged for one DET.
DETs from the old system can be converted into ETs at the ratio of 1 DET = 3 ETs.
How do I use ETs and DETs?
When requesting an echo, first use the ET/DET USAGE FORM and respond with it to the latest THREAD SUBMISSION that you've posted. It doesn't matter what month this is; always respond to the latest so the subtotals stay in a logical order. Head over to the to the echo request post and in the form there link to the comment in which you recorded the usage of the DET/ET.
